This is Brent belaying one of the participants at the 2004 Outdoor Challenge Conference for adults with developmental disabilities. He raved about his experience there and found it quite enriching - and it was obvious that the participants did as well.

Brent at Black Fang.

Here is Brent teaching a course for the University of Calgary Outdoor Centre on Heart Mountain (June 20, 2004). Brent taught courses for them for the last 3 years and was always eager to share his knowledge with students in the hopes that they may see the mountains the way he did.

Brent was commissioned by his brother Duane to lead a canoing expedition into Algonquin Park in September 2004. Duane arranged it to show some European friends 'real' wilderness - but it was also a great way to be together with Brent for 5 days. While not very close to his climbing and mounteering activities - it was something Brent loved and had pursued while growing up in Ontario and beyond. In fact - it was likely these early outdoor experiences that primed him for his later passion for adventure in the outdoors.

Here is Brent on On Sept 23 guiding on a multi-pitch rock section at the Yam Mountain Skills Semester.

Brent and Jacob Johnson climbed Twilight Zone on Kid Goat, and on the 24th we climbed Takakkaw Falls in the Little Yoho Valley.

This is a great shot of Brent ice clibming the 'Sea of Vapours' on Oct27 with Tom Wolfe.
