Caption: Brent Raymond will be able to tell some tall tales when he gets back from his exchange at the university of Aberdeen. the thrid-year environmental sciences student is shown here abselling from the Mitchell Tower of the University of Aberdeen's Marischal College. One of a group of students who toured Britain to abseil from well-known buildings to raise funds for the British Red Cross, Brent was the first over the top at the university of Aberdeen. He is one of many U of G students who benefit from the generosity of alumni and friends every year. Brent received a $4,000 OAC Alumni Entrance Scholarship and an Arthur D. Latornell Travel Grant for his trip to study in Scotland. He also received a Canada Scholarship, an OAC Dean's Scholarship and the Akademia Appreciation Award. Brent & Tom Smith on a winter trip to Algonquin Park (Ontario, Canada). While many people camp, very few winter camp. Brent was a passionate winter camper and introduced many others to the joy and peace of camping in the snow.
Here they admire the view from on top of a hill they climbed.
